How I got There: My Go-to Summer Get Up.
I love to come up with an outfit that I can wear over and over throughout the season. I'm soooo french that way. But seriously, the outfit that I got loads of milage out of this summer was my Stella McCartney fruit skirt and a chambray shirt. I wore it to a friends rehearsal dinner, countless dinners out and even to work. It was the two images below( from Jak &Jill and Vogue.com) that inspired me rock this look and all though the picture of me below is not the best, you get the idea. The shirt is from JCrew and the shoes I'm wearing are Loeffler Randall that I got at a sample sale, bringing the final cost of my go-to look down considerably. Which is important since I'm not a Rockefeller.

Grey Boots Make My Heart Go Beat Beat
If boots were made for walking then these grey wonders were made for stalking. I love grey because it is as versatile as black, but adds a bit more depth to an all black ensemble. Plus suede makes you remember how fun it is to embrace all the different textures Fall allows. Which makes me not as depressed about the end of my favorite steamy season.

Summer of Jump

Remember the shoes that were built like a shoe but acted like a sneaker? I like to think that jumpers or jumpsuits (as they're also know) are built like a dress but act like shorts. Who doesn't love the ease of slipping into a silky dress and instantly looking fab with such little effort? I certainly do, and jumpers are basically a dress in disguise. So give a jumpsuit a chance this summer, the two options posted here are by Loeffler Randall and T bags, respectively and can be found on the ever dependable shopbop.com.
